You touched me like a soul so enigmatic yet pure,

Moved by your mere touch I gave my all to you.

Today I wish to forget you-

Not because I didn't love you,

Not because I didn't be true to you,

Not because I agreed to you;

But because I no longer wish to be tied down,

Like a broken damsel brought down by the emotions,

Drowning me to a catacomb.

Your kiss made me live too far,

Your caress arrested me afar;

Far from the worldliness in your clasp.

Thinking of you, missing you each day;

I wish to mark an end to this saga;

I wish to mark an end to my sleepless nights;

I wish to forget you like a soothing reverie,

I wish to forget you like someone who loved me;

Not knowing how to love one,

Philophobic though you;

I wish to forget you like you loved me.

I wish to forget you!

May you remember me like the one;

Someone who genuinely fell for you.

May be we'll meet again,

May be we relish that fervent passion again;

The one which is true and not an amour.

May be we'll meet in some other world;

Destined into some other life,

May be we'll make up for the lost time.

May be this is an end to our chapter for now;

May be a lot is marked up for some other time!
